HERKIMER — Holding “RIP” signs shaped like tombstones, dozens of Herkimer High School students protested state aid cuts during a mock funeral Thursday.This was part of a day of action organized by the Herkimer High School Student Council, the Students For Fair Funding-NY and the Alliance for Quality Education called “RIP Herkimer CSD.”Participants protested the cuts made in state education funding and its inequitable distribution to school districts.
