Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
I love football because it is different than most sports. Instead of having two or three games a week, we prepare all week for one game. To me, the games feel more important. Football is also the only sport at my school where you can hit someone and not get in trouble.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment happened last season in football against Mohawk. On defense, I recovered a fumble and ran 25 yards for my first and only touchdown.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
One person who inspires me in sports is Ray Lewis. He plays football with great passion and never gives up. He is a leader of his team and has been in the NFL for years.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
The greatest challenge of balancing academics and sports to me is trying to stay focused. When I’m in school I try to stay focused on my schoolwork and classes but when I’m on the field I only think about football. You can’t let one distract you from the other.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
After I graduate from high school I would like to go to college. I want to study criminal justice and play football if I get the opportunity.
