Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
There is nothing I love more than the sports I have played in high school, besides the friendships I have made, the people I have met, and the many opportunities I’ve been given because I am a student athlete. I have had many coaches guide me into being a better leader, friend and athlete. The rush of adrenaline when you play a sport is something I will forever live off of, and always remember. I’m honored to have represented West Canada Valley’s tightly bonded community.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
When my best friend Meghan Louis had a beautiful direct kick, and I headed the ball in for my second goal in our homecoming game against Hamilton sophomore year.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
My father. He has always taught me strength, and practice of the sports I love. He is my biggest critic, but also my loudest fan, and he’ll always be there to pick me up. And my mama is my rock of support and love. My parents are great role models, and have taught me so much. I love them both more than anything.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
Late night games, and a lot of homework. It’s very hard to be a student athlete, but it’s worth it to do well both academically and in sports.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
To play soccer, find what makes me truly happy, and to live every day as if I’ll never have another.
