Gabrielle Marino, Jared Muraca and Stephenie Williams each won this year’s Joseph and Inez E. Carbone Scholarship.
The scholarships are awarded by the Carbone Auto Group to children of employees who are graduating high school and are college bound.
The scholarships were established to recognize, reward and assist high school seniors in their pursuit of higher education with a one-time award of $2,500 for each student.
Marino is the daughter of James and JoMarie Marino of Cassville. James Marino is a sales consultant at Don’s Ford Superstore and has been with the Carbone Auto Group for over 22 years. Gabrielle Marino is a 2013 graduate of Sauquoit High School and will enter SUNY Alfred in the fall to study architecture.
Muraca is the son of John and Susan Muraca of Utica. John Muraca is a service technician at Carbone Nissan and has been employed by Carbone for over 18 years. Jared Muraca is a 2013 graduate of Whitesboro High School and will pursue a degree in engineering at Mohawk Valley Community College.
Williams is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Hocking and Thomas Williams of Whitesboro. Jeff Hocking is the new car manager at Carbone Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and has been with Carbone Auto Group for over two years. Stephenie Williams is a 2013 graduate of Whitesboro High School and will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to major in biomedical engineering and cognitive sciences and minor in brain behavior.
