  • A Dolgeville man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly threw a chainsaw at a police officer.
Dolgeville police said 29-year-old Lee Moore was pulled over on Dolge Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and was later determined to be intoxicated.
During a field sobriety test, police said, Moore became agitated and threw a chainsaw at the arresting officer.
Other agencies assisted in taking Moore into custody after a brief struggle, police said.
Moore was charged with second-degree menacing, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, consuming alcohol in a vehicle and unsafe start, police said.
He was released to a third party, but has charges pending in Manheim Town Court and Oppenheim Town Court, police said.
