WHITESBORO (AP) — State police say they’ve charged a 22-year-old woman with making a bomb threat at her central New York high school while she was a student there five years ago.
Troopers say the bomb threat was made in October 2008 at Whitesboro High School in the town of Marcy, outside Utica.
Police say searches were conducted and no explosive or suspicious devices were found in or around the school. An investigation into the source of the threat was conducted but the case remained unsolved.
On Sunday, troopers say they charged Kaytie Yager of Whitesboro with falsely reporting an incident. She was released after posting $800 bail. It couldn’t be determined if she had a lawyer.
State police haven’t said how they determined Yager made the bomb threat.
