Chadwick R. Farber, 28, of state Route 28, was called to the Lord on Aug. 30, 2013.
Chadwick was born on May 22, 1985 in Ilion, a son of Dale and Mary (Salanco) Farber, of Newport. He graduated from West Canada Valley Central School with the class of 2003. Chad was united in marriage with Marissa R. Crane on May 5, 2007 at St. John’s Church, Newport. For the past five years, he was employed for Todd Cable Construction, Newport, where he was presently a supervisor. Chad was a parishioner of Saints Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer.
He loved to hike, hunt, fish and basically anything outdoors on a lake, trail or anything with a motor. Chad possessed a strong work ethic and a talent to repair anything. He enjoyed the time spent working in his garage with his brother, Dustin. He was an overly generous man that would bend over backwards to help out a friend. Most of all, Chad loved his two little girls unconditionally who will always be “Daddy’s Girls.” Chad touched everyone’s life without even trying. The angels called Chad to be with them to look over us all like he always did.
Survivors besides his wife, Marissa, and parents, Dale and Mary, include his two girls, Melanie and Cali; his brother, Dustin, of Newport; maternal grandparents, Andrew (Bud) and Betty Salanco, of Newport; aunts and uncles, Laurie and Todd Mankouski, Beth and Russ Medves, Ronald and Edna Farber, Neil Farber and Janet Tucker, Paulette and Tom Christiano, who are also his Godparents, all of Newport, and Darlene Miller, of Camden; his mother-in-law, Lisa Sementelli and her husband, Anthony, of Herkimer; his father-in-law, Kerri Crane, of Richfield Springs; special grandparents, Noreen “Bubbles” and Jim Crane, of Dolgeville; sisters-in-law, Ashley Putney and her husband, Chris, of Fairfield, and Alisha, Giovanna and Gabrielle Sementelli, of Herkimer; many cousins, including Carly, Chloe, Kristen and Jana; his “what’s up buddies,” Johnny, Donny, George, Marc, Mike, Todd and Jason, and all his other friends who loved Chad; all his co-workers at Todd Cable; and his canine companion, Farrah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Saints Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer, on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Lawless, pastor, officiating. There are no public calling hours as the family has chosen to hold visitation privately at the Autenrith Funeral Home in Newport.
Please consider memorials to the family for a future trust for his girls c/o Marissa R. Farber, 8422 State Route 28, Newport, NY 13416.
