  • Abigail Marie Gross, 9 month old daughter of Joshua and Sara (Abele) Gross, of Kelly Road, passed away at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, on Aug. 29, 2013.
    Abigail was born at Crouse Hospital on Nov. 26, 2012, and was affectionately cared for by the staff at Crouse during her short life. She loved her nurses, Katie, Jessica, Kathy, Helen and Danielle who will equally mourn her loss. Abigail was baptized Catholic, enjoyed watching movies and her mobile, and cuddling with loved ones.
    Survivors besides her parents, Joshua and Sara, include paternal grandparents, Mark and Robin Gross, of Mohawk; maternal grandparents, Edward Abele and Kathy Lowery, of Little Falls, and Diane Abele and Keith Dillenbeck, of Little Falls; paternal great-grandparents, Richard Gross, of Fairfield, and Norman and Carol Vrooman, of Mohawk; maternal great-grandparents, Henry and Ruth Abele, of Herkimer, and Dorothy and James Griffith, of Herkimer; four uncles and two aunts, Jeromie and Joni LaBarge and their children, Jeromie, Jr. and Ethan, of Mohawk, Dustin Gross, of Ilion, Matthew Gross, of Mohawk, and Matthew and Tiffany Abele and their children, Samuel and Nicole Marks of Oneida; many great-aunts, great-uncles and other cousins; and her canine companion, Charlie. She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, George Lyon and Sandra Gross; an uncle, George Lyon, Jr.; an aunt, Kate Lyon; and a cousin, Todd Keblish.
    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Lawless officiating. The family has chosen to hold visitation privately at the Autenrith Funeral Home in Newport.
