  • “Adirondack Adventures” will be the topic of the Herkimer County Historical Society’s program for the month of September, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25 ,at 7 p.m. in the society’s Eckler Building, 406 N. Main St., Herkimer.
The program will be given by Roy Reehil, who recently authored a book by that name — “Adirondack Adventures, French Louie and His Biographer.”
The program will feature the famous hermit, woodsman Louie Seymour and his biographer Harvey Dunham. Centered on Dunham’s recently discovered photo-journals from the 1920s, the show will feature dozens of vintage photographs depicting Seymour’s life as a canal boat driver, lumberjack, trapper and guide and reveal the back story of the man who kept Seymour’s legacy alive by writing “Adirondack French Louie.”
Copies of Reehil’s new book will be available for sale for $24.95 that evening.
The program will be free and open to the public. For more information, call 866-6413.
