FOC-Nets will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona.
Fiber Instrument Sales of Oriskany and the New York Telecommunications Association will host the show.
The event attracts contractors, installers, technicians, network administrators and other professionals working in the telecommunications and computer industries. Attendees come from throughout the Northeast to learn about the latest developments in fiber optics and other communication technologies.
Dozens of the companies will showcase their newest telecom and datacom products at NFOC-Nets. Exhibitors will include 3M, Corning, Anritsu, FIS and Comtec Sales. Conference attendees will get to see, touch and learn about new products first-hand, with company representatives available to provide information and answer questions.
This year’s NFOC-Nets will include classroom sessions that focus on the core skills required of today’s fiber optic technicians. Many of the sessions will provide Continuing education credits from Building Industry Consulting Service International, which technicians may need for maintaining their professional certifications.
Anyone interested in learning about fiber optics is welcome to attend. Individuals may register for free at the conference website, www.NFOC-Nets.com. The website also includes an event schedule and details about the educational sessions.
