A Frankfort woman was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated Thursday after a car crash left her trapped in her vehicle, Frankfort town police said.
An officer discovered the crash at about 10:13 p.m. and called the Frankfort Center Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance to assist.
The driver, 35-year-old Kelly Pantola, was injured but elected to forgo further medical treatment after being evaluated at the scene, police said.
Pantola was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or higher, driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle at an unreasonable speed, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Pantola was arraigned in Frankfort Town Court and was sent to Herkimer County jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
She will return to court at a later date.
