  • SCHOLASTIC FOOTBALL: Ground game leads CVA over Chittenango

  • ILION, N.Y. — Mykel Farley ran for 211 yards and three touchdowns Friday in the Central Valley Academy Thunder’s 44-32 crossover win over Chittenango.
    The Thunder (2-2) led 22-0 in the first quarter on a touchdown run by Farley and two by Tyler Brown.
    Farley had a 22-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and ran 64 and 21 yards for a pair of scores in the second.
    Brown had touchdown runs of 61 and 35 yards and ran for a total of 113 yards.
    Central Valley Academy led 36-16 at halftime and added a Travis Mead touchdown in the fourth quarter.
    The Thunder plays at home again Friday against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill.
