Camarata, from Salisbury, was operating a 2013 Polaris Ranger XP on James Road in the town of Salisbury at approximately 11:40 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle. The UTV overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side. Camarata severed her left hand and was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was air lifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for further treatment of her hand. A hospital spokeswoman had no information Monday on the girl.
Passengers Jacob W. Bolvant, 5, of Ilion, and 12 year old Miranda N. Hubbell, 12, of Little Falls were not injured. The accident investigation is continuing.
