  • A 13-year-old was arrested last week in connection with an earlier bomb threat in the Sherburne-Earlville school district.
The unidentified teen from the town of Lebanon was arrested Thursday and charged with felony second-degree falsely reporting an incident for allegedly making a written threat that referred to blowing up the school, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office said.
Sherburne-Earlville schools were evacuated twice last month due to bomb threats — once on Sept. 12 and once on Sept. 17.
The teen was issued a juvenile appearance ticket and will appear in Chenango County Family Court at a later date, deputies said.
