  • It’s not too late to purchase tickets to the Herkimer County Historical Society’s upcoming Comedic Roast of John Scarano, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Knights Inn of Little Falls.
This year’s roastee, Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director John Scarano, is sure to take any jokes directed at him with grace and good humor, according to a news release.
His roasters include some close friends and colleagues who are more than happy to roast Scarano that evening, according to the release.
They include Lisa Betrus, chief executive officer and administrator of Valley Health Services, state Assemblyman Marc Butler, Bob Casullo, a Little Falls native and retired NFL coach, Kevin Crosley, president and chief executive officer of the Herkimer Area Resource Center, and Stephen Smith, executive director of the Mohawk Valley Economic Development. Returning for the second time as “roastmaster” is local attorney Joseph Cirillo.
To add an additional incentive to attending the roast, the Knights Inn is donating a roast beef dinner for six to one ticket holder that evening.
Tickets are $25 and are preferred to be purchased ahead of time. They are available at the Herkimer County Historical Society, 406 N. Main St., Herkimer, at the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce, 420 E. German St., Herkimer, or from any of the roasters. For more information, call 866-6413.
