  • GIRLS' SOCCER ROUNDUP: Dolgeville deals LF first defeat

  • DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — The Dolgeville Blue Devils spoiled Little Falls’ bid for a perfect regular season by beating the Mounties 3-2 Wednesday.
    The Mounties, winners of their first 12 matches and ranked 13th in the state in Class C, had beaten Dolgeville 11-0 at home Sept. 19.
    Dolgeville goalkeeper Katie Millard made 16 saves Wednesday, including a stop on a penalty kick. The Blue Devils (5-8-1) got goals from Emilie Lewandowski, Adriana Clark and Sarah George, and an assist from Courtney Hart as they snapped a three-match losing streak.
    Maria Morotti and Kelli Shepardson scored for Little Falls. Cheyenne Rivenburg was credited with one save.
    OPPENHEIM-EPHRATAH-ST. JOHNSVILLE 7

    GALWAY, N.Y. — Freshman Abby Mosher had a hat trick for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wednesday in the Wolves’ 7-3 win over the Galway Golden Eagles.
    Mosher had an assist to got with her three goals for the Wolves (10-3-1) who are ranked 12th in the state this week in Class D. Rylie Smith and Tabea Salzmann each had a goal and an assist and Jessi Hagadorn and Megan Bradt each scored a goal.
    Erica Chase scored two goals and Felicia Snyder had one for Galway.
    Leann Clark made seven saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville and Lyndsey Naughton had 18 for Galway.
    CENTRAL VALLEY ACADEMY 3
    SHERBURNE-EARLVILLE 0
    SHERBURNE, N.Y. — The Central Valley Academy Thunder blanked Sherburne-Earlville 3-0 Wednesday with goalkeeper Alicia Ceneviva making eight saves.
    Rachael Phillips scored two goals and Sophie Millar had one for Central Valley Academy. Teigha Ward had two assists and Nicole Doolen had one.
    Maddy Fetzco made six saves for Sherburne-Earlville.
    FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 2
    COOPERSTOWN 2, tie
    FRANKFORT, N.Y. — The Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights played Cooperstown’s Hawkeyes to a 2-2 draw in overtime Wednesday.
    Danielle Migliore and Simone Palumbo scored for the Maroon Knights (3-7-2) with assists from Alexis Bianchi on both goals. Cassandra Grippe made 17 saves.
    Bella Anania scored both goals for Cooperstown (7-4-1) with an assist coming from Maggie Hall on one. Katie Kleban made 15 saves.
    HERKIMER 3
    WEST CANADA VALLEY 0
    NEWPORT, N.Y. — Chelsea Jory made 13 saves for Herkimer Wednesday and the the Magicians shut the West Canada Valley Indians out 3-0 on the road.
    Caitlyn Roorda had a goal and an assist for Herkimer (9-3-0). McKenzie Pine and Lillie Williams each scored a goal and Maddie Renshaw had an assist.
    Joelle Ceneviva made six saves and Olivia Bolton had four for West Canada Valley (2-11-0).
    MT. MARKHAM 2

    SMITHFIELD, N.Y. — Mustang Hannah Barrett scored two goals in the first half Wednesday and Mt. Markham defeated the Morrisville-Eaton Warriors 2-1.
    Goalkeeper Michaela Carnegie made five saves for Mt. Markham.
    Page 2 of 2 - Emily Widger had a goal in the second half for Morrisville-Eaton and Shelby Brown made 10 saves.

    MIDDLEBURGH, N.Y. — Ariannah Logan had two goals and three assists Wednesday in the Canajoharie Cougars’ 7-3 win over the Middleburgh Knights.
    Jenelle Dillenbeck and Jordan Hammons each added two goals and Dillenbeck had an assist for the Cougars. Jordyn Logan contributed a goal and an assist and Lauren Balfe made nine saves.
    Amanda Roney had two goals and an assist for Middleburgh, Taylor Cater had a goal and an assist, and Kiera Morgan made 17 saves.
    MAYFIELD 2
    FORT PLAIN 1
    FORT PLAIN, N.Y. — Julie Hampton scored two goals in the second half Wednesday and the Mayfield Panthers snatched a 2-1 win from the Fort Plain Hilltoppers.
    Fort Plain led 1-0 at halftime on Soren Shirley’s goal. Chelsea Shultis assisted.
    Maria Messina assisted on one of Hampton’s goals.

    HAMILTON, N.Y. — Nakeya Stedman had two goals and an assist for Sauquoit Valley Wednesday in the Indians’ 4-1 win over the Hamilton Emerald Knights.
    Abby Mielnicki scored for the Indians (10-2-0) and Jenna Mazza had a goal on a penalty kick. Maeline Hollenbeck chipped in with an assist.
    Haden Nolan scored in the first half with an assist from Clara Jones for the Emerald Knights (4-6-0).
    Izzy Schaller made 17 saves for Hamilton; Alyson Gaffney had none for Sauquoit Valley, ranked 12th in the state in Class C.
