  • DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — The Dolgeville Blue Devils and West Canada Valley Indians have dedicated Saturday’s game to Sophia Johnson and will wear gray ribbon decals on their helmets in her honor.
Johnson is an 11-year-old West Canada Valley student battling brain cancer. She is the daughter of Dolgeville High School graduates Julie and Roy Johnson.
One-third of the proceeds from what normally is a 50/50 raffle will be given to the Johnson family; the raffle winner and the Dolgeville cheerleaders will receive equal shares.
Game time is 1:30 p.m. at Bynon Field.
