  • GIRLS' SOCCER: Poland, Clinton advance at Columbus Day Tournament

  • POLAND, N.Y. — Paige Sullivan had a hat trick Saturday in the Poland Tornadoes’ 7-0 first-round win over Hamilton in the Poland Columbus Day Tournament.
    Sullivan had an assist to go with her three goals for the Tornadoes. Mikayla Blumenstock added two goals and two assists, Shiane Irwin and Tara Seigle each scored a goal, and Jordan Flansburg had an assist. Courtney Green made one save in the shutout.
    Izzy Schaller, Hamilton’s goalkeeper, made 18 saves.

    DeRUYTER 1
    POLAND, N.Y. — Hannah Shankman had four goals and an assist for Clinton in Saturday’s 7-1 win over the DeRuyter Rockets at Poland’s Columbus Day Tournament.
    Darby D’Angelo, Natalie Wagae and Rachel Clarey each scored a goal for the Warriors.
    Emily Cirbus scored for DeRuyter.
