  • GIRLS' SOCCER ROUNDUP: Thunder tops Herkimer 3-1

  • EAST HERKIMER, N.Y. — Teigha Ward had a goal and an assist Friday in the Central Valley Academy Thunder’s 3-1 win over the Herkimer Magicians.
    Rachael Phillips and Rachel Thorp also scored goals for the Thunder (11-1-0). Alicia Ceneviva made five saves.
    Caitlyn Roorda scored for Herkimer (8-4-1) with an assist from McKenzie Pine. Chelsea Jory made 15 saves.
    SMITHFIELD, N.Y. — Nicole Foti broke a second-half tie with her second goal Friday and the Little Falls Mounties defeated Morrisville-Eaton’s Warriors 3-1.
    Little Falls (13-1-0) had led 1-0 at halftime on Foti’s first goal off an assist from Caira Miles. Morrisville-Eaton tied the score early in the second half. Foti scored again to give the Mounties the lead; Maria Morotti assisted.
    Morotti capped the scoring with a goal assisted by Casey Baumeister.
    Cheyenne Rivenburg made 10 saves for Little Falls.
    Shelby Brown had nine saves for Morrisville-Eaton (6-7-0).
    DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — Sarah George scored all four goals Friday in the Dolgeville Blue Devils’ 4-0 win over the West Canada Valley Indians.
    Joslin Null assisted on two of George’s goals and Courtney Hall and Rachel Gross each had an assist for the Blue Devils (6-8-1). Katie Millard made four saves in the shutout.
    Shania McEvoy was credited with three saves for West Canada Valley (2-12-0).
