  • BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY: Mustangs run well in Waterville

  • WATERVILLE, N.Y. — The Mt. Markham Mustangs had six of the top 10 finishers Wednesday when they made up a dual meet at Waterville.
    Teams from Oriskany, Canastota and Remsen were also on hand.
    Canastota’s Adam VanValkenberg ran the race in 19 minutes flat to set the pace. Mt. Markham teammates Zac Sterling and Tyler McKane finished second and third with Mustangs Corrigan Jones and Nick Rodick fifth and sixth, Pat Roseen eighth and Trevor Gates 10th.
    Mt. Markham defeated Oriskany 16-44 in a dual. The other three teams ran incomplete lineups.
