  • Ilion police and state police are investigating several larcenies from vehicles that occurred overnight between Oct. 20 and 21.
Troopers said the vehicles were entered on Ray Street, Barringer Road and Second Street in the village of Ilion and on Applewood Drive in the town of German Flatts. Several of the vehicles were unlocked and others were forcibly entered by breaking out windows, troopers said. Approximately eight vehicles were entered in Ilion and six in German Flatts.
Items stolen included money, cell phones, GPS units, hunting gear and other electronic equipment, troopers said. Most vehicles were parked in the driveways of residences, troopers said.
Those who broke into the vehicles may have been on foot with a vehicle somewhere in the vicinity, troopers said.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious overnight and who may have information on who is perpetrating these crimes may contact state police Senior Investigator Timothy Blaise at 866-7275 or Ilion police Investigator Jeremiah Sninchak at 894-9911.
