CORTLAND, N.Y. — The Cortland Tigers rode a four-goal second half to a 5-0 win over Central Valley Academy Tuesday in the opening round of Section III’s Class A playoffs.
Justin Prentice scored two goals for the sixth-seeded Tigers (10-4-3) who move on to meet Watertown Thursday in quarterfinal play. Kristian Reynolds had a goal and two assists, Brian Litzenberger had a goal and an assist, Eamonn Mahar had two assists, and Nisarga Paul scored a goal. Goalkeeper Tracey Shelly was not called upon to make a save.
Clay Colburn had 21 saves for Central Valley Academy (7-10-0).
