  • BOYS' SOCCER: Herkimer rolls to 9-1 win

  • EAST HERKIMER, N.Y. — The Herkimer Magicians scored five goals in a 10-minute span in the middle of the first half and completed the regular season by beating Little Falls 9-1 Friday for their second win of the week against the Magicians.
    Colin Acker got the scoring started just over 10 minutes into the game. Tucker Vogt scored two minutes later, followed by Zoltan Csoknyay, Vogt again and Dan Netti with an assist from Acker. Ronnie Decker added a Mike Stalteri-assisted goal and the Magicians led 6-0 at halftime.
    Csoknyay, Joe Vincent and Stalteri scored in the second half. Austin Perry started in goal and did not make a save; Acker had two saves in relief.
    Cole Douglas made six saves in goal for Little Falls before moving out to play the field and netting the Mounties’ lone goal in the 63rd minute of play. Landon Malanoski had one save.
