HERKIMER, N.Y. — Herkimer County Community College’s men’s basketball team will dedicate its first home basketball game against Monroe Community College Nov. 6 to the American Cancer Society in its efforts to raise awareness in the fight against breast and all other forms of cancers. The team will wear pink ribbons while warming up for the 7 p.m. game and donation cards and T-shirts will be sold before the game.
“This is the eighth year the team has helped sponsor awareness events,” coach Matt Lee said, “and the players have been proud to participate. We plan to continue our involvement to help raise funds for research and services, and to raise awareness in the College and the community.”
All funds raised will go directly to the local American Cancer Society.
