  • FIELD HOCKEY: Mounties ousted by Holland Patent

  • ROME, N.Y.†ó The Holland Patent Golden Knights did all of their scoring before halftime Saturday and earned a spot in Section IIIís Class C title game with a 3-1 victory over Little Falls at RFA Stadium.
    Alyssa Curtis scored one goal and assisted on the other two for Holland Patent (13-3-2), the second seed which will oppose No. 1 Cazenovia in the championship game. Cazenovia shut out Port Byron 4-0 Sunday.
    Faith Babrowicz and Alexandra Livesey scored the other goals for the Golden Knights.
    Ashley Fox scored for Little Falls (8-7-2) and tied the game at 1 one minutes after Babrowicz had opened the scoring for Holland Patent.
    Kristi Torres made 15 saves for Little Falls while Leanna Newland had three for Holland Patent.
