The Ilion Little Theatre will open its 2013 - 2014 season Friday with a presentation of “Bless Me, Father,” by T.A. Powell, directed by George Malavasic.
When people in an Irish parish hear a rumor the Pope is visiting their congregation, folks are lining up to confess their sins. But the only John Paul in this confessional box is John Paul Fitzpatrick, the janitor. He has been trapped in there for hours and what he is learning could blow the lid off the whole town.
Curtain time is 8 p.m. Friday at The Stables on Remington Avenue, behind Remington Arms. Performances are also scheduled for Nov. 9, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m., with matinee performances scheduled for Nov. 10 and 17 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $12 general admission and $8 for students and are available at the door.
The Ilion Little Theatre has entertained residents of the Mohawk Valley since 1924.
