  • Theater to host tryouts for ‘Wait Until Dark’

  • Tryouts for “Wait Until Dark,” the Ilion Little Theatre’s second production of the 2013 - 2014 season, will take place at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 at The Stables at 13 Remington Ave., Ilion.
    “Wait Until Dark” tells the story of a sinister con man, Roat, and two convicts, Mike and Carlino, who are about to meet their match. They have traced the location of a mysterious doll, which they are interested in, to the Greenwich Village apartment of Sam Hendrix and his blind wife, Susy. With only the help of their neighbor, Gloria, Susy finds herself in the mist of an elaborate scheme, as the three men attempt to get the doll in their possession.
    Characters needed include Susy Hendrix, who is in her late 20s or early 30s; Harry Roat, Jr., who is in his 20s; Harry Roat, Sr., who is in his 40s; Mike Talman, who is in his 30s or 40s; Carlino, who is in his 30s or 50s; Gloria, who is 10 to 13; and Sam Hendrix, who is in his 30s.
    The production dates will be January 2014.
