  • The Open Dairy Show at the Herkimer County Fair awards a Supreme Champion Rosette Award in each show. Dairy Type and Production Winners were: Ayrshire 3-year-old Moy-Ayr Harmony Miley by Melissa Hawkins of Newport. Brown Swiss class included 3-year-old Fosters Acres Eddie Jewel by William Foster of Newport and 4-year-old Jonlee Rombo Fornside Dyanh by Sam Donahoe of Frankfort. Champion was Fosters Acres Eddie Jewel by William Foster of Newport. Holstein winners were Junior 2-year-old Kel Vista Elite Edge by Travis Nelson from West Winfield, 3-year-old Collins Pride Gavor Rumi by Stacy Collins of Ilion, 4-year-old Don Dale Fortune Liquor by Allison Donahoe of Frankfort, 5-year-old Maypar Outside Boots by Jennifer Hula of Richfield Springs, Aged Cow Dithmarsia Black Ice Lara by Paul Johannssen of Mohawk and Dry Cow Don Dale Roy Minnie by Seth Donahoe of Frankfort. The Champion was Dithmarsia Black Ice Lara by Paul Johannssen of Mohawk. Jersey Champion was 5-year-old Woodmohr Goal La Duke by Melissa Hawkins of Newport. Mary G. Ferry Memorial Type and Production Award winner for Overall Best of Show was Dithmarsia Black Ice Lara by Paul Johannssen of Mohawk. Open Dairy Heritage Breed Award was given to the champion of the rare and heritage dairy breeds. Grand champions were: Ayrshire Moy-Ayr Harmony Milley by Melissa Hawkins of Newport. Guernsey June Bug of Hillside by Megan Johnson of Frankfort. American Milking Lineback B-Line Dor Max Sydney by Anna Becker of Mohawk. Milking Shorthorn CJaiz Vlay Grace by Madeson Spellman of Newport. Heritage Breed Champion CJaiz Vlay Grace by Madeson Spellman of Newport. Open Dairy Premier Breeder winners were: Ayrshire — Hillside Farm of Frankfort; Brown Swiss - Becker Farm of Mohawk; Guernsey — Hillside Farm of Frankfort; Holstein — Dithmarsia Farm of Mohawk; Jersey — Brayvue Farm of Frankfort; Lineback — Becker Farm of Mohawk; and Milking Shorthorn — Rose Wynd Farm of Frankfort. Open Dairy Premier Exhibitor winners were: Ayrshire — Fosters Acres of Newport; Brown Swiss — Becker Farm of Mohawk; Guernsey — Hillside Farm of Frankfort; Holstein — Collins Pride Farm of Ilion; Jersey — Brayvue Farm of Frankfort; Lineback — Becker Farm of Mohawk; and Milking Shorthorn — Rose Wynd Farm of Frankfort.
