  • WOLFEBORO, NH/STRATFORD, NY — Ronald Kent Nepomuceno, 64, formerly of Stratford, NY, and Wolfeboro, NH, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was surrounded by his loving family and friends as he made his peaceful journey.
    Ron was born on August 21, 1949, in Bethesda, MD, at the Naval Hospital. He is the son of Loraine and Leo Aubin of Stratford, NY, and the late Luis Nepomuceno and his late wife, Eleanor, of San Francisco, CA.
    Ron was a graduate of Stratford Central School and continued his education at San Francisco City College and Orange Coast Community College, before earning his Master of Arts Degree from the University of California, Irvine, CA.
    Although diagnosed with a terminal illness, Ron’s positive attitude and prolific creativity allowed him to pursue his dreams of writing and photography. Memories of Ron and his photography videos can be viewed on YouTube at http://youtu.be/n3b_MNqGX-0 and http://youtu.be/487TuH83J-o.
    Ron was an amazing artist and sculptor. His art was exhibited at several art shows in California, as well as his former restaurant, The Aurora, in Gloucester, MA. Throughout his life, he pursued many interests and was a successful entrepreneur. He loved sailing his boat, golf, sports, music and writing. He composed many songs and was the author of two books.
    Throughout Ron’s life, he made many friends and was an inspiration to all. He was a man of strength, endeared by nature, and loved by all who knew him.
    He is survived by his three children, Raya, Alexander and Leah Nepomuceno, of Wolfeboro, NH, to whom he was a wonderful, caring and loving father; his mother and stepfather, Loraine and Leo Aubin, of Stratford, NY; three brothers, G. Daniel Dillard, of Utica, NY, and his former wife, Claire, Ricardo (Ricky) Luis Nepomuceno and his wife, Eileen of Honolulu, HI, and Julien Nepomuceno, of San Francisco, CA; four sisters, Sheila (Aubin) Claus and her companion, Richard Pavlus, of Oppenheim, NY, Alicia (Aubin) Johnson and her companion, Robert Brown, of Mohawk, NY, Louise Nepomuceno, of San Francisco, CA, and Toni (Nepomuceno) Kleppin and her husband, Rainbow, of San Francisco, CA; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
    There will be no calling hours. A private graveside memorial will be held at Salisbury Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
