HERKIMER — Lauren Penc, PT, DPT, recently joined the rehabilitation staff of Valley Health Services.
Penc attended Whitesboro High School and continued her education at Mohawk Valley Community College and Utica College where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy earlier this year.
Penc said she appreciates that VHS offers rehabilitation for out-patients, long- and short-term care patients and adult day health care registrants as well.
“I have always wanted to work in the rehabilitation setting as I believe this is where physical therapy and occupational therapy have the most profound impact on the lives of patients who are otherwise not safe to return home. I experience personal gratification in helping residents live as independently as possible through the variety of programs at VHS,” she said.
A lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley, Penc resides in Deerfield and is looking forward to her marriage in August 2014.
