  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Mounties roll to win over Dolgeville

  • LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — The Little Falls Mounties led by 22 points after the first quarter of Tuesday’s 74-27 victory over the Dolgeville Blue Devils.
    The undefeated Mounties (4-0, 3-0 CSC-II), ranked fourth in the New York State Sportswriters Association’s first Class C poll of the season, led 33-6 early in the second quarter and scored 49 points before halftime at home.
    Gen Schoff led Little Falls with 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked six shots. Cheyenne Rivenburg had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, Hannah Becker had 13 points and four assists, Kelli Shepardson scored 12 points and Laura Wind had nine points in her first varsity game.
    Jackie Bange led Dolgeville (2-3, 0-3 CSC-II) with 10 points.
    Little Falls is home again Thursday for its game against Herkimer. Dolgeville travels over Barto Hill Thursday to take on West Canada Valley.
