Jay Mohr is backtracking after comments he made about Alyssa Milano's weight in a radio interview last month caught fire online.
Eight days after Milano called Mohr out for his comments, Mohr responded to both Milano and blogger Perez Hilton and tried to apologize for his remarks. "She's stunning. I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have been taken as a joke. #fail," he tweeted.
The beef started after Mohr, 43, and Milano, 41, attended a NASCAR event in Las Vegas on Dec. 6 and Mohr later made some less-than-kind remarks about the actress' figure. "She was one of the presenters. ... She's very tiny. In height," Mohr said of Milano, according to the New York Daily News. "It seems like she had a baby and said, 'I don't really give a sh--' ... I read it on her gut."
Mohr then referred to Milano as "Melissa" instead of her real name. "'Melissa what's-her-name'" was very nice but didn't look so great," he added. "Somebody sat in the director's chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, 'Jesus Christ.'"
On Christmas Day, Milano shot back at Mohr on Twitter. "So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me," she tweeted at Mohr. "Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife."
Milano has yet to respond to Mohr's apology. Do you think their feud is over? What do you think of Mohr's mea culpa?
