  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Holland Patent defeats Herkimer

  • HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. — Four Golden Knights scored in double figures Saturday and helped Holland Patent defeat the Herkimer Magicians 57-52.
    The Golden Knights outscored Herkimer 17-8 in the first quarter and were outscored in two of the final three quarters.
    Alyssa Curtis led Holland Patent with 13 points. Riley Reinold, Ally Livesey and Kierston Backus each scored 10 points and Jessica Livesey added nine to the balanced attack.
    Chelsea Jory scored 22 points and Hannah DeLude had 16 for Herkimer.
    The Magicians played Monday at Frankfort-Schuyler.

    BOONVILLE, N.Y. — Domenique Talerico scored 19 points for New York Mills Saturday and led the Marauders to a 41-29 win over the Adirondack Wildcats.
    The Marauders outscored the Wildcats 13-2 in the opening period and led by 16 points at halftime.
    Megan Crist scored 11 points and Cassidy Albright had eight for New York Mills Justine Lee led the Wildcats with seven points.
    New York Mills played at Poland Monday. Adirondack had a game at Old Forge postponed Monday due to a weather-related early school closing.
