WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The Mt. Markham Mustangs fell behind two games-to-none at home Wednesday but came back to beat Cooperstown in five.
The 19-25, 18-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20 Mt. Markham victory pinned just the second loss of the season on Cooperstown’s Hawkeyes.
Bridget Wilcox had seven aces, seven kills, one block and 20 digs for Mt. Markham (7-2); Hannah Barrett had six assists and three digs; Claire Ladlee had six kills, four blocks, one ace and two digs; Courtney Thompson had four kills and one block; Olivia Thomson had four aces, three kills and 18 digs; Kaleigh Bryce had four kills, one block, two aces, three assists and 10 digs; Megan Wool had 12 digs and one ace; Carryn Williams had one kill, one block, one assist and one dig; and Brianna Wilcox had one dig.
Brooke Liner had 10 kills for Cooperstown (8-2); Jenn Snyder had five aces and four kills; Katie Franck had 15 assists, one ace and one kill; Kristin Ratliff had 15 assists and one block; and McKenna Hage had eight kills and two blocks.
Mt. Markham won 2-0 in junior varsity play.
The Mustangs play at home Friday against Clinton.
CANASTOTA, N.Y. — The Canastota Raiders swept Herkimer Wednesday, beating the Magicians 25-19, 25-7, 25-18 in three games.
Maureen Krak served 20-for-20 with one ace and had 22 assists and seven digs for Canastota (6-0); Grace Campbell had 17 kills, four blocks and four digs and served 8-for-9 with four aces; Emily Barrett had 14 kills, seven blocks and two digs; Josie Sgarlata served 8-for-8 with an ace, three kills and four digs; Anna Maison served 8-for-8 with one ace, one kill and one dig; Sophie Debrucque served 13-for-13 with two aces, four assists, one kill and two digs; Nikki Knaul had five digs; Alex Jones had one kill; and Destiny Swanson had three assists and one ace.
Caitlyn Roorda had four kills, one block, five digs and an ace for Herkimer (4-3); Natalie Schrader had four aces, three kills, one block, one assist and two digs; Krista Green had 10 digs, one ace and one assist; and Jami Peters had four assists, three digs and one ace.
Canastota was a 2-1 winner in junior varsity play.
Herkimer next plays Monday at home against Holland Patent.
DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — The Dolgeville Blue Devils took three straight games form Remsen Wednesday and beat the Rams 25-18, 25-22, 25-17.
Emily Bode had five blocks and one kill for Dolgeville (5-3); Kaylee Brandow had nine aces and five digs; Taylor Brandow had seven kills, three aces and five digs; Courtney Rachon had six kills, two aces and five digs; Mikey Rubas had four aces, five digs and a kill; Abby Mosenthin had three kills and three digs; Katie Millard served 17-for-17 with an ace; Courtney Normoyle had six digs and an ace; Annabelle Lee had one kill; and Camila Rios had one dig.

Dolgeville was a 2-1 junior varsity winner. The Blue Devils won by scores of 25-17, 24-26 and 25-17. Raquel Borst had eight aces, four kills and two digs for Dolgeville; Rachel Gross had four aces, one kill, one assist and one dig; Emily Giarrusso had five aces and two digs; and Lindsey Coonradt had four aces and four digs.
The next scheduled match for the Blue Devils is Monday at home against Canastota.

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. — The Westmoreland Bulldogs beat Little Falls in three games Wednesday. Playing on their home county, the Bulldogs defeated the Mounties by scores of 25-14, 25-8 and 25-13.
Alison Brockway had seven aces, nine assists, four kills and one block for Westmoreland (6-4); Des Champney had five kills, two aces and one assist; Cheyenne Morris had five assists, two kills, one block and one ace; and Gab Duell had four aces, one kill and five digs.
Kourtney Moser had three digs and one kill for Little Falls (0-9); Lauren Shepardson had three assists and one kill; Samantha Ackerman had two kills; Lindsey Tolman had an ace, a kill and two digs; Tara Van Alstine had four digs; Winter Polnak had an assist and three digs; Kali Yerina and Carolyn Alford each had three digs; Christina Deschene had a kill and two digs; Samantha Dewan had an ace and a kill; and Courtney Liddon had an assist and two digs.
Little Falls won the junior varsity match 25-23, 26-24. Rebecca Swart had four aces, an assist and two digs for Little Falls; Molly Bucenec had four kills, an ace, an assist and three digs; Casey Baumeister had four kills, two aces and two assists; Shelby Muller had three aces, a kill and three digs; Meghan Burleigh had two digs and an assist; and Olivia Davis had four aces and a kill.
