UTICA — January is National Mentoring Month, and to celebrate the benefits of mentoring relationships, Center for Family Life and Recovery will host a mentoring open house from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 502 Court St., Suite 401.
Adult mentors are needed for several programs, including CFLR’s Compeer Program and Second Chance Program. The Compeer Program matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendships and mentoring relationships. The Second Chance Program assists women, who have recently been released from prison to gain employment, and is a federally funded grant program conducted in partnership with the Workforce Investment Board.
To make a reservation for the open house, call 733–1709 or email email@example.com.
For information about becoming a mentor with CFLR, call 768–2641 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
