  • SCHOLASTIC BASEBALL: Poland picks up two wins against Waterville

  • POLAND, N.Y. The Poland got solid pitching from Cameron Tabor and Cameron Loomis Wednesday and swept a doubleheader from the Waterville Indians.
    Tabor pitched a three-hitter and struck out six batters in a 5-1 win in the first game. Loomis struck out four batters and allowed four hits as the Tornadoes won the second game 7-2.
    Tabor went 3-for-3 with two runs batted in in Game 1 and Bryce Wenzel added two hits and two runs batted in.
    Bryant Barrows each had a double and drove in two runs in the second game.
    Brandon English had two hits in the first game and one in the second; he drove in all three Waterville runs.
