  • SCHOLASTIC GOLF: CVA beats Little Falls in rematch at Doty's

  • ILION, N.Y. — The Thunder’s Michael Bergin was two strokes over par at Doty’s Wednesday in Central Valley Academy’s 172-175 win over the Little Falls Mounties.
    Central Valley Academy matched Little Falls’ winning score from the Mounties’ 172-177 win two days earlier at Little Falls Municipal.
    Bergin’s 37 was the low round Wednesday. Logan Winder shot a 40 for the Thunder (3-1), Ben Stone had a 47 and Steven Bergin capped the team scoring at 48.
    Jimmy Amuso’s 40 was the low round and Vinny Visconti had a 41 for Little Falls (2-2). Alan Chlus (44) and Nicky Visconti (50) rounded out the team’s scoring.
    Frankfort-Schuyler’s Dante Migliore, playing as an independent, shot a one-under-par 34.

    BARNEVELD, N.Y. — Oriskany golfers carded a 42 and a pair of 43s at Glass Hill Wednesday and the Redskins defeated Holland Patent and Poland in a three-team meet.
    Carter Luciantelli had the low round with teammates Tyler Doing and Aaron Rinaldi one stroke behind as the Redskins (3-3) finished at 182 to Holland Patent’s 207 and Poland’s 212.
    Rob Robbins shot a 45 for Holland Patent (1-3).
    Devin Bush had a 46 and Brady Blanchard shot a 47 for Poland (0-4).
