As we all know, it’s not easy to outdo the Tea Party gang in Congress for sheer nuttiness, but there are at least a few Republicans in state legislatures who are trying their darnedest.
Take, for example, State Rep. Mike Leara in Missouri, who wants to MAKE IT A FELONY for a fellow legislator to even propose any gun-safety measure that Leara considers at odds with the Second Amendment.
And then there are the lawmakers in the Kansas legislature who want to REQUIRE TEACHERS to question the scientific basis for theories of global warming.
