               As a small business owner myself I know the importance of a business social media plan designed to reach and engage existing and new markets.  I have spent the last 3-1/2 years learning everything I can about social media, social media best practices and how to plan and implement a strategy that will benefit my companies.

                I know it works because I hear every day from new customers who found us through various internet sites and social media platforms.  These are customers who would have never known that we existed had it not been for social media.  It’s so exhilarating to me to hear that our hard efforts are working.  I love reading the solid reviews from others online and knowing that my dedication to this exciting avenue of new business is solid.  Not only has it forged new routes for us, but it has brought a certain togetherness to our staff to always put our best foot forward.

                Two years ago I was blessed to pass on some of my knowledge to other business owners as a Non-Credit Social Media Instructor at Herkimer County Community College.  Since then, I’ve been teaching small business owners every semester at HCCC.

                This fall semester I will be teaching three classes at HCCC.  Each class will repeat once for a total of six classes.  They are:

                Introduction to the Internet – learn the basics of the internet including browsers, email, websites, urls, right click versus left click, file storage, transferring pictures and much more.
