I love Cyber Monday. Sitting on the computer still in my pjs and sipping coffee, I'm in heaven. I’ve been shopping on Cyber Monday since its inception back in 2005, maybe even before that.  I remember shopping online back in 2000 when Toys R Us was just getting started with their online shopping.  Toys R Us was so overwhelmed with online orders that about two weeks before Christmas I received an apology letter in the mail along with a $200.00 free gift card.  They explained that they never anticipated such a success and could not guarantee shipment in time for that Christmas.  The gift card was a simple way to apologize.  It worked for me!

Since the inception of the Cyber Monday Marketing term and promotion, online sales have consistently had huge yearly increases.  According to statistics, Cyber week of 2011 resulted in sales of over $6 billion.  (comScore)
