PARIS -

The driver of a sport utility vehicle that struck three teenagers Sunday night, killing a 19-year-old from Frankfort, doesn’t appear to be at fault, according to the Oneida County Sheriffs’ Office.
Randy P. Robinson, 27, of Cassville, was driving south on Mohawk Street in the town of Paris just before 6:30 p.m., and he did not see the three teenagers walking in the same direction on the street, Sgt. Robert Nelson said.
Robinson’s SUV struck the three teens, who were then all transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital, Nelson said.
Travis Leitz, of Frankfort, died a short time later at the hospital of the injuries he suffered in the accident, Nelson said. Courtney Randall, 17, of Paris, and Casey Cook, 18, of Herkimer, were treated at the hospital for non life-threatening injuries, and had been released as of Monday, Nelson added.
Nelson said Robinson will likely not be ticketed, but the investigation and accident recreation were ongoing Monday.
Preliminary reports found that the teens were walking as a group and had walked into the road to get around a parked vehicle, Nelson said.
