Two men have finally been arraigned on charges in connection to the robbery of a credit union in Herkimer that occurred more than five months ago.
Jonathan Miller and John Streb pleaded not guilty in Herkimer Village Court Tuesday evening to charges of second-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny.
It took so long for Miller and Streb to finally appear in local court after the April 9 robbery at the First Source Federal Credit Union because they have been held in connection to other robberies that occurred in other counties across the state, including Columbia, Genesee, Monroe and Ulster counties, Herkimer County Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Carpenter said.
Other people have been arrested in connection to those robberies as well, he said.
Bail was set for Miller at $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond, but Streb is being held without bail.
Streb is due back in Herkimer Village Court on Nov. 13, while Miller is due back Nov. 20
