Ilion, N.Y. —
An Ilion man was arrested on Feb. 21 on charges of second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Christopher L. Bennett, 24, of 111 John St., was arrested as the result of a complaint that he engaged in sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 15.
Bennett was arraigned in Ilion Village Court and was committed to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to reappear in village court on March 28 at 5 p.m.
