Police are trying to determine if two men being slashed this past weekend at a club in the village of Herkimer has anything to do with recent violence in Utica nightclubs, village police said.
Two men, ages 19 and 22, received lacerations to the face during an incident at Santucci’s Hide Out on Saturday, Herkimer Police Investigator Jeffrey Crim said. Officers responded to a medical call for the slashing at around 2 a.m., and the men were treated at a local hospital and released, Crim said. Herkimer police were not releasing the names of the victims as of Tuesday.
Both victims of the slashing are refusing to cooperate with police, Crim said. But Herkimer police are working with Utica police to investigate any possible connection with the incident Saturday and recent altercations at Bogie II and Tropical Delight, both nightclubs in Utica, he added.
Herkimer police are asking for anyone with information to call 866-4330.
