German Flatts town officials last week discussed maintenance and updates that will be done to London Bridge, the town-owned office building off West Main Street in the village of Ilion.
Currently, the building is the site of a mammography office, but offers plenty of open space for other offices or businesses, said town Supervisor Frank Spatto.
Spatto said he is looking for someone else to rent out the building. “It’s a nice building for any type of business and we will have it designed to whoever may want it,” he said.
Plans for office renovations during the winter months include resurfacing the basement floor and painting the concrete walls.
Spatto said he also plans to make changes the outside of the building after the winter.
“Right now there is a wooden wheel chair accessible ramp that is deteriorating and we need things to be safe, so we want to rebuild the porch and raise the parking lot and sidewalk to create better access to the building,” he said.
If anyone if interested in renting out the space they are asked to call the town of German Flatts office.
In other business, Spatto said the German Flatts Town Park Community Center’s interior is almost complete. Volunteers have put in windows, laid out the rooms and wired the electrical circuits. Sheet rock was also delivered for the completion of interior walls last week, said Spatto.
