A 21-year-old New Hartford male and a 19-year-old Little Falls male have been arrested and charged in connection with an investigation into the burglary of the same Diamond Street residence in the city of Little Falls, but at different times, police said.

Aaron Griffin, 21, of 35 Rockport Road, New Hartford, was arrested on Nov. 15 and charged with one count of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police said Griffin allegedly unlawfully entered a Diamond Street home and stole various property, including televisions, audio and video equipment, etc. The property was recovered after police executed a search warrant on a room at Knights Inn, Little Falls. Griffin, said police, allegedly took the stolen property and sold it to a person who was staying at the motel.

Griffin was arraigned before Little Falls City Court Judge Mark Rose and was remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.

Police said motel employees were cooperative and barred the tenant from the property.

Paul J. Yesford, 19, of 6 Catherine St., Little Falls, was arrested on Nov. 4 and charged with one count of first-degree burglary and one county of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police said Yesford allegedly unlawfully entered the same Diamond Street residence, but at a separate time and without anyone else, and allegedly stole a shotgun from the residence.

Police later recovered the shotgun in the Church Street Cemetery after information was obtained as to its location and after Yesford placed it there in an attempt to further its recovery without being identified.

Yesford was arraigned before Judge Rose and was remanded to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bail bond.
