A Utica man was arrested on Nov. 19 after police allegedly found illegal drugs while searching his motel room, Herkimer police said.
Rasheen Bellinger, 27, was charged with felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after police executed a search warrant for his room at the Budget Inn on Mohawk Street in Herkimer, police said.
The search allegedly resulted in crack cocaine, a scale and packaging materials being confiscated.
Police said they believe Bellinger was dealing out of the room.
Bellinger was arraigned and sent to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond, police said. The Herkimer County District Attorney's Office assisted in the investigation.
