Thousands of people came out to show support for the riders Friday, May 15, 2009, participating in the annual Ride for Missing Children. Nearly 400 bike riders started the day before 7 a.m. in Oneida, N.Y. The ride – which stretches nearly 100 miles – was set to end after 6 p.m. at the New Hartford Recreation Center. Riders agreed the day was about raising awareness for the cause, teaching children safety and perpetuating hope.
