Assemblyman Marc Butler and New York State Rifle and Pistol Association President and NRA board member Tom King will hosting two informational sessions on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s new gun control law in Fulton and Herkimer counties.
The Fulton County event will take place on Monday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Tree Rifle Club in Gloversville. The Herkimer County event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Ridgerunners Club in Salisbury. The events are designed to inform the public about the new law in an effort to prevent accidental non-compliance. These events are free and open to the public.
Additionally, Butler will seek input and support for repeal of the law, as he said it infringes on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding New Yorkers and threatens the economic stability of the Mohawk Valley.
