Mrs. Carla Anne (Ciancio) Smith, age 51, of Fairfield and an active member of the Herkimer community, passed away on Friday morning, May 31, 2013, at Crouse Memorial Hospital in Syracuse. Carla was comforted with her loving family at her side. Her passing occurred following a valiant fight with ovarian cancer.
